Pauline Fischer's career in the entertainment industry has included worldwide acquisitions, strategic planning and business development and finance experience with both start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.

Pauline currently serves as vice president of worldwide acquisitions for Paramount Pictures where she identifies acquisition opportunities for all rights deals in international territories and represents Paramount at international film festivals and markets. Pauline began at Paramount in strategic planning and business development focused on acquisitions.

Pauline started her career in investment banking as an Analyst for PaineWebber in Los Angeles where she ran client teams to structure, underwrite and execute municipal bond transactions as part of the smallest, but 2nd most profitable, regional office. She also developed financial modeling and quantitative analyses, prepared written and oral presentations for new business opportunities and drafted marketing memoranda for institutional and retail salesforces.

After graduate school, Pauline was awarded a tenor track, High Tech Fellowship in Entrepreneurial Management and Finance. Working from Harvard Business School's West Coast Research Center, Pauline authored case studies on BET.com, CNET.com, Babystyle.com, and RadioOne and provided consulting services to several start-up companies in the Bay Area.

Pauline later returned to Los Angeles to serve as Director of Business Development for an early-stage venture capital fund focused on sports and entertainment related ventures in wireless, broadband, and content. Pauline assessed investment opportunities and negotiated partnerships on behalf of portfolio companies.

Pauline holds both JD and MBA degrees from Harvard and a BA in Economics-Business from UCLA.
