Elizabeth Powell - elizabeth@theblackhouse.org

Elizabeth Powell is the Director of Business & Legal Affairs for Essential.  Elizabeth is responsible for the negotiation and drafting of licensing, distribution and sales agreements, the delivery of the pictures and the tracking of rights acquisitions and sales.

Prior to Essential, Elizabeth worked for the VP of Television Business & Legal Affairs at the William Morris Agency, where she had a particular focus on television and new media deals.  Before WMA, Elizabeth held positions at the Screen Actors Guild, the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Bad Boy Entertainment.

Powell received her J.D. from Loyola Law School and a B.A. in Film and TV Production from Howard University.  She is an active volunteer for the Neighborhood Legal Services Workers’ Rights Clinic and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training. Elizabeth is a member of the California Bar.
